How we can help

There are so many ways dental practice can help you maintain a healthy and bright smile, at the same time as making any changes you might like… Here are the primary ways we can help:

A healthy smile starts with good dental hygiene. This means brushing and flossing your teeth regularly, and making sure to visit the dentist for regular checkups. During a checkup, your dentist will clean your teeth and look for any signs of decay or other problems. They may also recommend a hygienist, who can provide additional cleaning and care for your teeth. A hygienist can also teach you how to brush and floss correctly, and offer advice on choosing the best toothpaste and mouthwash for your needs. By taking good care of your teeth, you can help prevent cavities (and avoiding having  to have dental fillings), gum disease, and other health problems.

In some instances you may find that you require an emergency dentist, we’re  able to help if you have a broken tooth, an abscess will have extreme pain that won’t go away on its own.

Dental anxiety is a very real thing for many people. The thought of going to the dentist can be enough to send some people into a panic. For many, the fear is rooted in a bad experience from the past. Maybe they had a procedure that was more painful than expected, or maybe they simply don’t like the feeling of someone else being in control of their mouth. Whatever the reason, dental anxiety can be a serious obstacle to getting the care you need.

Fortunately, there are ways to overcome dental anxiety. We have a special interest in working with patients who have anxiety. Our dentists understand how to put you at ease and help you feel comfortable during your visits. They’ll take the time to explain procedures and answer any questions you have, always leaving you fully in control.

When you lose a tooth, it’s more than just a gap in your smile. The loss of a tooth can cause your other teeth to shift, making it difficult to chew and speak properly. In addition, it can lead to bone loss in the jaw and an increased risk of gum disease. For these reasons, it’s important to replace a missing tooth as soon as possible. Dental implants are one of the most effective ways to do this. These provide a stable foundation for a replacement tooth. In addition, dental implants help to preserve bone mass in the jaw, preventing further deterioration. For these reasons, dental implants provide a lifelong solution for those who have lost teeth.

Dental bridges are another option for replacing missing teeth. A dental bridge is made up of two dental crowns placed on the teeth on either side of the gap, with a false tooth/teeth in between. The false tooth, also known as a pontic, is usually made out of porcelain or ceramic. Dental bridges can be used to replace one or more missing teeth, and they can be supported by dental implants, natural teeth, or a combination of both. One advantage of dental bridges is that they can help to restore the function of your teeth. In addition, dental bridges can also improve the aesthetics of your smile.

Dentures are one more way to replace missing teeth. Dentures consist of replacing your missing teeth with a set of acrylic teeth, supported into a plastic base made to replicate your gum shading and contour. Modern dentures can be very comfortable and easy to wear and are often the most affordable option for replacing missing teeth.

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the correction of misaligned teeth and jaws. Orthodontic treatment can be used to improve the appearance of teeth, but it can also help to address underlying problems with bite alignment. Crooked teeth are often more difficult to clean, which can lead to an increased risk of tooth decay and gum disease. In addition, misaligned teeth can put extra strain on the muscles of the jaw, leading to pain and fatigue.

There are a range of treatments available from Invisalign – straightening teeth with a series of removable clear aligners, to Clear Smile – using traditional braces with new technology to reduce orthodontic treatment times, and finally the Inman Aligner – providing discreet, affordable and rapid orthodontic treatment.

Often, people think of cosmetic dentistry as something that is only for celebrities or the wealthy. However, dental bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure that is both affordable and effective. Dental bonding is used to improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped, cracked, stained, or otherwise imperfect. The dental bonding process involves applying a tooth-colored resin to the affected tooth and then shaping and polishing it. As a result, dental bonding can give you a beautiful smile that you can be proud of. In some instances the amount of change that is required cannot be achieved only with dental bonding, in these situations dental veneers are often used. Veneers are made from a high-strength ceramic and are bonded to the surface of your tooth making incredibly strong. Dental veneers can be used to change the shape, colour and visual positioning of your teeth.

Another popular procedures is teeth whitening, which can be done in the practice or at home using a kit. Teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to brighten teeth that have been stained by coffee, tea, wine, or smoking. The procedure usually takes less than an hour, and the results can last for years.
