Billericay Dental Care

Restore or protect chipped or broken tooth with Dental crowns.

What is Dental Crown?

A dental crown is used when a filling would not be suitable. They might be used to restore and protect a tooth following a root canal. They might be used to restore a chipped or broken tooth. Or they can be used for aesthetic reasons, if you are unhappy with the colour, shape or appearance of a tooth.

We offer the E-Max Crown premium service which is not only incredibly strong, but it can also be matched to the rest of your teeth. If you’re worried about the appearance of your dental crown, this modern and innovative service is ideal.

The Dental Crown procedure

Your dental crown will be fitted over two appointments. This is because an impression of your tooth is required to create the dental crown.

On your first visit, your dentist will take an impression of your tooth which is then sent to a lab. When you return, your dentist will fix the dental crown in place. Your crown is held in place by a type of dental cement. It covers the entire visible part of your tooth above your gum line. This cement may wear down over time, so it’s important to attend regular checkup appointments to make sure this doesn’t come loose.
