What Are Dentures?
Dentures are removable replacements for patients who have missing teeth. We use complete dentures when all of a patient’s teeth are missing and a partial denture when our patient still has some natural teeth remaining.
Dentures can enhance the lives of patients by allowing them to eat and speak with confidence. Dentures can also help to improve the facial contour, as the muscles in the face can sag without the dental structure.
Why Choose Billericay Dental Care?
We are an award-winning dental practice with over 20 years of experience fitting dentures. In 2017, we won the best dental practice award from the prestigious AIDUK organisation. We offer patients start-to-finish care in all aspects of selecting the right type of dentures for you and your lifestyle right through to their fitting and how to take care of them.
Creating the best possible dentures all starts with taking accurate impressions. These are then sent to a dental lab to be turned into completely customised dentures.
We work with brilliant dental laboratories and technicians producing attractive, durable dentures that feel comfortable in your mouth. Once your dentures are ready, we will fit and adjust them so that you can start enjoying your life again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some answers to the questions we receive the most about our services.
If we missed anything, please do not hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to help
If it is a tooth in your smile line we can do it immediately on the day that we take your tooth out- that way you do not have to worry about having a space there.
If it is further back, we often say wait for the gums to heal completely before making your dentures typically 8-12 weeks, as this will ensure a better fit.
The soft tissue may become irritated if you wear your dentures for too long. Avoid wearing them at night as this will give the gum tissue a chance to recover.
Some patients are able to wear partial dentures relying on their tongue and soft tissues holding it in place. Other’s like to use denture adhesive to aid with it staying in the mouth, and where possible if there are suitable teeth the dentist may add metal clasps that clip onto your remaining teeth to help provide extra support.
Full dentures are held in place using your soft tissue structures and often dental adhesive. They are designed to fit around the natural shape of the jaw bone and gums
